This moon cactus is a combination of two cacti that are grafted onto each other in order to survive. The crown of this graft is Cleistocactus winteri, which is also known as Golden Rat Tail cactus. The "cristata" form of this well known cactus has a twisting and tangled stem that forms a unique crystal-like shape. It is a fairly quick grower and quickly becomes and impressive sculpture of green stems and golden spines.
