Q: When will my order be shipped?
Most orders are shipped in under 5 business days! We ship every Monday to Wednesday in order to be sure that plants arrive at their new home before the weekend. You will receive shipping and tracking confirmation once your order has been shipped. So, depending on where you live and when you order, we’ll likely ship at the latest by the following Wednesday using your selected shipping service. Most orders will be fulfilled in under 5 business days but some may take up to 8 business days.
Q: Will my plants arrive in good condition?
We’ve been shipping plants across Canada, year-round, since 2017. Over 98% of our orders arrive in perfect condition. In case of any issues with your plants, simply call us or send us an email and we’ll make it right!
Q: Can I order even though it’s cold outside?
We deliver all year round, rain or shine, and there is no need for you to buy any additional special winter packaging since we include heat packs for free during cold periods! However, in the case of extreme temperatures (ie. +35 degrees in summer or -15 degrees in winter), we may choose to hold orders until the temperature gets better.
Q: How will my plants be shipped?
We ship our orders using Canada Post or FedEx. We use corrugated cardboard boxes, wood exelsior and biodegradable starch packing nuts to keep your plants nice and snug. Plants are shipped in their nursing pot with soil in order to make it easier for the plant to prosper in its new home. It is possible that some soil spills during shipping.
Q: What happens if I’m not home when my order is delivered?
In the winter, we may ask the courrier for a signature at delivery. This is to prevent the courrier from leaving the package outside in the cold if you are not home. With the signature requirement, the courrier should hold on to the package and make it available for you to pick up at their location.
Otherwise, during warmer months, normal delivery services apply. If deemed safe, the courrier may leave the package at your door or in your mailbox. Otherwise, they'll leave a notice card with instructions for you to pick up your package.
Q: I just received a plant that is damaged/dead. What should I do?
We care about your experience and will do everything we can to make sure you have a great one. If you receive a damaged or otherwise compromised plant, please let us know, snap a picture and email it to us within 3 days of receiving your order. We offer a two-week healthy plant guarantee and if the condition of your plant isn’t right during that time, we’ll replace it, offer a credit or a refund.
Q: How do I know if my plant will look like the one in the picture?
Plants are hand-picked from our producers and will generally be of similar size as those shown in product photos.
Q: How long will my plant be in the box?
On average, your plant might spend about 2 to 4 days in the box it is shipped in. It is important to open your package the same day you receive it. In extreme cases, plants can survive up to 10 days in their packaging.
Q: How do I take care of my cactus?
Cactus and succulents are very low maintenance plants. The key is to let the soil dry out completely before watering (all the way to the bottom of the pot!). When it comes time to water, make sure you completely soak the soil. You can even bring your plant to the sink and allow water to absorb from the bottom of the pot. Just make sure you let the excess water drain out afterwards. After watering, you should place your cactus in a sunny spot to allow it to dry as quick as possible.
