Shipping policy

General Shipping

Depending on your location and estimated transit times, most orders are shipped from 1 to 4 business days from the time the order is placed. Our plants ship from Montréal, Québec.

We offer two shipping service levels:

Standard Shipping:

  • Standard shipping orders are fulfilled on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Estimated transit times are 3 – 7 business days.

Express Shipping:

  • Express shipping orders are fulfilled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • Estimated transit times are 1 – 3 business days.

For orders with a value of $100 or more after application of any discount code and before taxes, shipping is free to most locations in Canada. If our cost of shipping exceeds 30% of the purchase value, we may not be able to offer free shipping and will contact you to discuss additional shipping fees. 

There may be a shipping surcharge for orders with a weight of over 12kg. We'll notify you in such a case.

At this time, we do not ship to the Territories, Nunavut, Kuujjuaq and certain remote areas of Canada. Please contact us at bonjour@cactusenligne.ca if you would like to inquire about making a special order.

During colder weather, we pack heat and insulation. During extreme cold, we may hold your order until warmer weather, usually 1 or 2 weeks.

Order Fulfillment Time

Depending on estimated transit time and when you order, most orders are shipped between 1 and 4 business days. Depending on service level, transit time is usually between 1 and 7 business days. We ship Monday to Wednesday. You will receive shipping and tracking confirmation once your order has been shipped.

Courrier Service

Note: The Canada Post strike affects less than 1% of our shipments, thanks to our partnerships with all major carriers across the country. You can shop with confidence!

We only use well-known shipping carriers. By default, standard shipping is generally FedEx Expedited Shipping, or equivalent. If we deem that standard shipping transit time to your location is too long and puts the plants at risk, we will contact you for your approval to ship without guarantee, upgrade shipping service or cancel your order.

In the winter, we may ask the courrier for a signature at delivery. This is to prevent the courrier from leaving the package outside in the cold if you are not home. With the signature requirement, the courrier should hold on to the package and make it available for you to pick up at their location.

Delivery Address

The shipping address that you enter when ordering is the address we will ship to. If the wrong shipping address was entered, an apartment number forgotten, we cannot be held responsible and therefore cannot refund the order. Even if your package is returned to us, we cannot refund your order as plants are perishable and they will not be useable if and once they make it back.

If you are not home and miss a delivery, you have two days to pick up your order at the designated courrier location. If for some reason you were unable to do so within two days, we are not responsible for the condition of your plants and therefore cannot refund the order.
