Without a doubt the Venus Flytrap is the most famous carnivorous plant! Charles Darwin famously described the plant as "one of the most wonderful in the world," and few who have witnessed a healthy trap snapping shut on an insect would disagree.  They’re native to the wetlands of the East Coast, where the soil lacks the nutrients they need, so they learned to adapt in an exciting way.
