Astrophytum myriostigma (many dots) is a spineless cactus. Its completely distinct look resembles a bishop’s hat. 'Tricostatum' refers to its three ribs. The plant become columnar with age. It is covered with many minute white hairy scales that give it a characteristic chalk-white or silvery-grey appearance. These plants are perfect for a desk or a windowsill as they are extremely slow growers and prefer small pots.
