Opuntia Ficus Indica is a popular domesticated plant used largely for agricultural purposes as they are edible. It's also known as Indian fig opuntia, fig opuntia or prickly pear.  Opuntia are one of the largest cactus families. They are low maintenance plants needing little water. They are also adapted to a very hot, dry climate.
