Plant Care - The Basics

Always research the specific needs of your plant as even within a species, particular plants may have slightly different care requirements. Follow these basic guidelines for a healthy start once you receive your plants.

Consider keeping your new plant babies in their original pot for 1-2 weeks as they acclimatize to their new home.

CACTI AND SUCCULENTS
Cacti and succulents are generally low-maintenance plants.

SunlightDirect or bright, filtered sunlight.

WateringWater once the soil is completely dry, usually every 1-2 weeks. Less often in winter.

SoilUse well draining cactus and succulent soil.

TROPICAL PLANTS

Sunlight: Bright, indirect light.

Watering: Water once per week during winter, twice per week during summer. Let the top of soil dry between waterings.

Soil: Needs vitamins and nutrients. It is important to supply tropical plants with fertilizer every second time you water.

TILLANDSIAS

Light: Indirect sun light.

Watering: Mist day or two or soak in water every 2-3 weeks. Add fertilizer to the water once per month.

Soil: Air plants do not grow in soil! Don't put them in soil.  ;-)
