Haemanthus albiflos may appear rather unimpressive, but it grows into a strange, beautiful plant with time. Each year, it grows a pair of thick, leathery leaves out of a bulbous base. It will also produce new bulb offsets which will eventually make a colony of small succulent plants. This plant is known mostly for its impressive flowers that give it the name Paintbrush Plant.
